A 'Gay' Affair, as recorded in the KJV Bible!

This 'Bible Story' is recorded in the King James Version (KJV) of the Holy Bible old testament books Samuel 1:13, up to the first chapter of Samuel 2.

I say the King James Version, because other 'versions' have changed the wording to 'supposedly' make it easier to understand, and also to make it conform better to the excepted doctrine of todays religions.

An Introduction to Prince Jonathen!

The following Bible verses should give you some insite into the life of Prince Jonathan and his 'armor bearer.'

1 Samuel 14: 6-14
Then said Jonathan, Behold, we will pass over unto [these] men (the Philistines), and we will discover [show} ourselves unto them. 1Sa 14:9 If they say thus unto us, Tarry until we come to you; then we will stand still in our place, and will not go up unto them. 1Sa 14:10 But if they say thus, Come up unto us; then we will go up: for the LORD hath delivered them into our hand: (To Kill them) and this [shall be] a sign unto us.

A sexual act was used to lure the unsuspecting Philistines to their death, and the Lord was invoked... but don't think that homosexuality was as readily accepted by most of the Isrealites as it was by Jonathan's group: Jonathan hid his desires from his father.

The day when a young lad, the son of Jesse the Bethlehemite would come into all of their lives, was fast approching...

Introduction to young David

David is fairly well known... slew The giant Goliath, with a sling shot, when he was but a lad, anointed by Samuel at the Lords direction to be King, slew 10s of thousands of Philistines, according to the women of Israel. David was highly favored of God, and King Saul, Jonathan's father, was afraid of David. King Saul made numerous attempts on David's life.

They Fall In Love, They 'Covenant' together!

Here is the Bible verse referring to the 'covenent' it is in 'red' print as all Bible Verses will be on any of my websites, if you feel that it is taken 'out of context', be my guest, read the whole chapter, read the whole book, it is good for you! The facts of the case I will put in 'silver' print, any speculation on my part, I will print in ''gray'

1 Samuel 18:1-5
And it came to pass, when he had made an end of speaking unto Saul, that the soul of Jonathan was knit with the soul of David, and Jonathan loved him as his own soul. 1Sa 18:2And Saul took him that day, and would let him go no more home to his father's house. 1Sa 18:3Then Jonathan and David made a covenant, because he loved him as his own soul. 1Sa 18:4And Jonathan stripped himself of the robe that [was] upon him, and gave it to David, and his garments, even to his sword, and to his bow, and to his girdle. 1Sa 18:5And David went out whithersoever Saul sent him, [and] behaved himself wisely:...

Any lawyer would tell you that a marriage is considered a LOVE 'covenent', a pledge to continue loving each other, "till death do us part".

What I believe Jonathan is saying to David is 'cloth me, protect me, care for me,'; the Bible doesn't say where each lived, or if they lived together, but in order for David to fulfill his part of the covenent, he would have had to live close, if not with Jonathan.

In 1 Samuel 20:16, David and Jonathan reaffirm their covenant.

King Saul - Enraged Father!!

King Saul was troubled, and called a search for a young man who was good at playing the harp. Therfore came the youngest son of Jesse, [David]. David played the harp, slew Goliath, killed many other Philistines, fell in love with the Prince Jonathan, they made the covenent mentioned above, and David became famous in Sauls kingdom, and Saul became very wroth.

This verse proves that the covenent was not merely 'brotherly' love, but a homesexual relationship..... 1 Samuel 20: 30-31

Then Saul's anger was kindled against Jonathan, and he said unto him, Thou son of the perverse rebellious [woman], do not I know that thou hast chosen the son of Jesse to thine own confusion, and unto the confusion of thy mother's nakedness? 1 Sa 20:31 For as long as the son of Jesse liveth upon the ground, thou shalt not be established, nor thy kingdom. Wherefore now send and fetch him unto me, for he shall surely die. 1 Sa 20:32 And Jonathan answered Saul his father, and said unto him, Wherefore shall he be slain? what hath he done? 1 Sa 20:33 And Saul cast a javelin at him to smite him: whereby Jonathan knew that it was determined of his father to slay David. 1 Sa 20:34 So Jonathan arose from the table in fierce anger, and did eat no meat the second day of the month: for he was grieved for David, because his father had done him shame.

My study Bible defines the word 'confusion' as meaning 'shame' .

Jonathan did not deny the relationship, tried to protect David, and King Saul was wroth enough to kill them both. Later when it was safe to get away, Jonathan met David in a field and they kissed and wept, because for Davids safty, David needed to part from Jonathan. The whole book of 1 Samuel reads like a very good romance novel, and I encourage reading it.

Some people think that if a 'gay' person has sexual relations with the opposite sex, that that 'proves' they are not or no longer 'gay', actually most 'gays' have had relations with both, some long lasting, than what defines 'gay' is the fact that 'gays' prefer their own sex.

I don't feel that gays in any way threaten the institution of marriage, between a man and women, or threaten future population growth. The following verse is what David said when hearing of Jonathan's death.

2 Samuel 1:26

I am distressed for thee, my brother Jonathan: very pleasant hast thou been unto me: thy love to me was wonderful, passing the love of women.

There you have it. The anointed King David chosen and beloved by God 'preferred' his relationship to Jonathan above his relationship to 'women', he had two wifes at that time, DAVID WAS GAY!!

As for me, I am streight, but not narrow!

If two people have love for each other, love is of God, for God is love!
